The Artistic Installation as a Pedagogical Device in Visual Arts Education
Visual Arts Education – Artistic Installation – Actor-Network Theory – Chthulucene – Environment
This study investigates the role of artistic installation as a pedagogical device in Visual Arts Education (VAE) in High School, adopting the Actor-Network Theory (ANT) as an approach. The research aims to understand how installation mediates knowledge in Art, analyzing its characteristics and influences in the educational context. By exploring Donna Haraway's Chthulucene to address the relationships between humans, non-humans, the environment, and artistic and pedagogical practices, it questions how art and education can contribute to addressing environmental crises and inspiring a future perspective in the face of these challenges, proposing artistic installation as a tool to communicate these transformations. The research will be conducted through a qualitative approach, using controversy mapping to examine specific experiences of artistic installations implemented in educational environments.
