Fostering creative minds, restless and desirous souls: learning creativity as a management practice

Organizations are concerned with two intrinsically related constructs – creativity and innovation – creativity being considered the “seed” for innovation and a necessary condition for its success. It is understood, therefore, that creativity, in the same proportion in which it can be taught, can be learned and practiced in the educational field. Thus, from the perspective of the theory of practice and organizational aesthetics, doing and knowing are not separated, in a process of entanglement between production and invention; between materiality and training, and between the knowledge production process and the knowledge produced. There is a challenge in thinking about the teaching of creativity based on teaching pedagogies that objectively collaborate with the development of creativity knowledge from a practical perspective. With regard to the training of administrators, creativity represents an essential skill for the innovation of organizational practices. The adoption of the theory of practice fosters the renewal of research activity, as well as the practice of Administration. The present study will, therefore, seek to analyze how creativity is learned as a practice, within the discipline of “Creativity and Innovation” at the undergraduate level, at the University of Brasília – UnB, from the perspective of the students. It is characterized as having a qualitative and exploratory nature, with a cross-sectional approach, and will be carried out through data collection techniques such as: students' written report; participant observation; in-depth interview and photovoice. For data analysis, the content analysis technique will be used with the help of AtlasTI software.
