SUMMARY:

The present Doctoral Thesis project proposes to explore Econophysics as an emerging area in finance, offering new approaches with robust results. We intend to develop the Thesis in the form of essays, whose basic ideas are presented in this material. The essays focus on power laws and entropy, two topics that can contribute to a better understanding of the dynamics of the functioning of the Brazilian stock market. The project contains a succinct discussion of the evolution of Econophysics in the theoretical reference and the initial results obtained in the quest to highlight the analysis of the Brazilian market from the theoretical and methodological perspectives of Econophysics
