SUMMARY:

This research project aims to investigate the influence of public administration paradigms on the training and professional performance of graduates from a recent scientific field called “Campo de Públicas” (Public Field in english). It presents the main systematized theoretical reflections, as well as the execution planning of the research project. This area of knowledge was formally established in 2014 in Brazil through its own curricular guidelines, despite the first course on the subject dating back to 1952. To identify the main theoretical gaps on the research topic, it sought to discuss the conceptual bases present in the forms of public administration (patrimonial, bureaucratic, managerial and societal) as well as public management reforms that have occurred in the country's history. The bases for the formation of this field of knowledge, its paradigms and its recent history in Brazil were also discussed, in addition to debating professional skills for work in the public sector. The methodology for constructing the work will also be listed in the text, as well as its schedule and research instruments already organized.
